Celebrating Korea and Adoption in Minnesota
Kamp Kimchee, a fully inclusive culture camp in Crosslake, Minnesota, provides insight into Korean culture. The Kamp Kimchee experience goes beyond Korean language, art, music, and traditional Korean food. At Kamp Kimchee we strive to provide healthy connections and empowerment to children and families with Korean ties.
At Kamp Kimchee we welcome and encourage all siblings to participate in Kamp, even if they are not of Korean origin or adopted. We feel the experiences they have at Kamp will be invaluable when it comes to growing up in a transracial family.
A Kamp with a Purpose
Our all-volunteer effort at Kamp Kimchee strives to continue serving transracial Korean families. Our primary purpose is to encourage positive, supportive, and lasting relationships between Kampers, volunteers, and staff. We feel these relationships will allow families who are touched by transracial adoption to thrive.
Our secondary purpose is to establish an appreciation for the Korean culture by creating an environment that encourages full family involvement. From cooking classes, to courageous conversations, dance instruction to drumming, there is a little something for everyone at Kamp!
